   一般过去时用来叙述过去某个时间发生、并且已经结束的动作或状态。本课是一篇回忆式的记叙文，从 Last week 开始，整篇都用过去时把"去剧院—听不见—回头看—生气"这一串事情按顺序讲出来。它常和明确的过去时间状语连用，如 last week、yesterday、in the end。规则动词在词尾加 -ed，不规则动词要单独记（go→went, have→had, get→got, say→said）。

2. Lesson 3Please Send Me a Card请给我寄张明信片

   一般过去时用来讲述过去已经完成的事情。本课是作者回忆去年夏天在意大利的假期，从 Last summer 开始，一连串动作 went、visited、taught、lent、read、bought 都用过去式。要注意区分规则动词（visit→visited, pass→passed）和不规则动词（go→went, teach→taught, lend→lent, spend→spent, buy→bought）。否定句用 did not + 动词原形。课文第一句 Postcards always spoil my holidays 是一般现在时，因为它讲的是"一向如此"的习惯，而不是去年的具体事件。

3. Lesson 9A Cold Welcome冷遇

   一般过去时用来叙述过去某个时间发生、并且已经结束的动作或状态。本课是一篇典型的"过去叙事"：从 On Wednesday evening 开始，一连串动作 went、passed、stopped、waited、shouted、looked、began 按时间顺序讲完一个故事。只要句中有明确的过去时间（on Wednesday evening、at five to twelve、at that moment）或者整段都在讲过去的事，就用一般过去时。规则动词加 -ed（passed, stopped, waited），不规则动词要单独记（went, began, was/were）。否定和疑问借助 did，后面的动词变回原形。
